What would make you relocate?

// May 9th, 2012

This month My Flame Health’s Research Centre are asking the question:

What would most make you consider relocating? Would it be:

  • Benefits Package
  • Location
  • Salary
  • Career progression

The Research Centre is keen to hear your thoughts on this. We are currently seeing new opportunities being created across our diverse range of sectors with clients expanding and hiring on a monthly basis, however there are significant skills shortages across our client base that is potentially restricting their respective growth plans especially within certain locations in the UK and Europe.

If you have the appropriate skills, experience, qualifications and would consider relocating then please contact us and speak to a partner confidentially. We have opportunities within Optometry, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Clinical Research, Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices and Biotechnology.

“The role of online branding” Flame Health speaks exclusively to Exec Appointments.com

// May 8th, 2012

Scott Liversidge, managing partner at Flame Health has spoken exclusively to Exec-Appointments.com. A global executive-level job board for positions in the private and public sectors. They asked Scott his thoughts with regards to online branding within Flame Health. Scott mentions,

“We get a better response talking to people in groups, forums and blogs. But it’s a multi-pronged approach. Often we’ll sense that we’re getting the trend and then something will come along that totally bucks it.”

“And with 2,000 job-seekers approaching Flame Health each month, there is ever more pressure for professionals to enhance their personal brand. This year, the recruitment consultancy has moved all its recruiting online. Using the growing power of the web, certain sectors now channel their efforts into specific online forums. Clinical research and pharmaceuticals, for example, have become synonymous with LinkedIn. So, for job-seekers, an element of research into sectors’ preferred sites is important.”

REC and KPMG Report on Jobs

// April 12th, 2012

The REC and the KPMG report on jobs have stated that permanent placements continued to rise in March.

The main findings on the report were:

  • Permanent staff placements increase for third month in a row
  • IT & Computing sector leads upturn in permanent job vacancy growth to eight-month high
  • Permanent staff salaries stagnate
  • Candidate availability rises at weaker pace
  • Differing trends in permanent and temporary appointments suggest a link to Agency

Recruitment consultants reported a rise in permanent staff placements for the third month in succession during March, albeit at a slower pace than February’s nine-month

Overall demand for staff strengthened in March, as the number of vacancies available to jobseekers rose at the fastest pace since July 2011. The pick-up in growth was driven by a stronger increase in permanent job vacancies, which offset a slower rise in the number of available short-term roles.

These results are great to see and the demand for staff has echoed through Flame Health. Our partners are still speaking to clients on a weekly basis and new vacancies are being advertised across the UK & Europe! If you are keen to take on a new challenge then please get in contact today. We are constantly speaking to new and existing clients on a daily basis with new and exclusive vacancies being generated and advertised.

The Results are in!

// April 12th, 2012

With our last Research Poll, we asked the question – How would you prefer to communicate about a potential vacancy? – Via the telephone, face to face, email, live chat or other.

As you can see from the results, it is great to see that out on top was 55% of you preferring to communicate via email, 29% via the telephone, 11% through live chat, 4% via face to face and 1% other.

These results certainly clarify what we have been witnessing for some time. Email is an efficient way to communicate when using the telephone is not an option. With the constant development of smart phones has made it even easier to use the internet on the go. Communicating via an email is in some cases quicker, convenient to you and to the point.

However, the results do show that 29% of you would like to still communicate via the telephone. Our partners are available throughout the day, tailoring to your needs so that they can speak from 8.30am through to 8pm.

It has been great to see that a live chat function is a way in which you would like to communicate. This new function allows you to speak to us how you want and when you want. Speaking to us on the live chat allows you to speak directly to a support team who can answer your questions quickly and efficiently. My Flame Health created the live chat function from the response of this poll and it is great to see My Flame Health members utilising this on a daily basis.
